Hands-On Bootcamp – Laborer Training in Action
The Bootcamp is the in-person component of the Laborer Training Program. After completing 40 hours of online Core Curriculum, trainees will take part in a 5-day, hands-on construction workshop focused on practical skills and jobsite readiness.
This Bootcamp is for enrolled Laborer Trainees who want real-world construction experience, mentorship from certified instructors, and preparation to earn their certification.

Dr. Mittie Cannon
Dr. Mittie Cannon is a nationally recognized workforce development leader based in the United States with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. She is an Master Trainer and serves as an Accredited Sponsor Representative (ASR) — two of the highest roles within the system, authorizing her to certify both instructors and students under internationally recognized standards.
Dr. Cannon is also the founder of Power Up Inc., a training organization dedicated to preparing youth and underrepresented communities for skilled trades careers. She has trained hundreds of workers, led national industry panels, and worked directly with contractors and schools to improve workforce quality and safety.
Her leadership brings unmatched credibility to this program, ensuring all participants receive instruction that meets global standards and is backed by the same credentials used by leading construction firms in the U.S. and abroad.
